Game 2: Aladdin (snes)
A lot can be said about games based on movies, and normally not much of it is good. These games have become money grabs, they capitalize on success from movies and very rarely do they deliver anything new or respectable to gaming. In the old days it wasn't all that much different, however the games were close to the level if not at the level of mainstream games. The differences are obvious, the games short and sweet, and the game play normally is satisfying, if a little on the easy side of things. Aladdin is a fun game, it has a lot to offer fans of the movie, with simple fun game play, the game is short and sweet, you wouldn't want to play Aladdin all day, it finishes just as your about to get sick of it. To be honest its hard to review a game like this fairly, new games are hours long, old games are not normally even close to that, Aladdin is an hour long perhaps. Its worth a play if you are a fan of the Disney movie, but as a game its not impressive enough to have anything higher than about a 7.5/10 for a snes game and maybe 5.0/10 for a game these days. Keep in mind however, movie games this day are far less successful than that. Its a completely different thing to review a short snes game than it is to review a 3d glitchy movie game these days. I enjoyed the experience a lot, but I can't give it a higher score due to both length and the exclusive nature of the game. However that being sad, I have played a maximum of 4 movie games I would rate that highly.
